The Kaiapoi East Residents Association is a group of residents and ratepayers in the Kaiapoi area who share concerns about the lack of good governance, combined with an indifference to the views of residents and ratepayers, in Kaiapoi resulting in decisions being made that are adversely impacting our community and its environment.

It also includes friends of the Kaiapoi East Amenity who agree with the objects of Kaiapoi East Residents Association, that the area should be available for use of people regardless of age, gender, abilities or socio-economic disposition as a resource that enhances their wellbeing either by fitness or as a quiet natural space away from the modern stresses.

It’s amazing what we can do when we come together and the people have a collective voice and act as one.

KERA management committee and members are an unpaid group of enthusiastic individuals who recognise that complaining is not enough – we need action to achieve a change of approach and a change of culture in our Waimakiriri District.
